PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has rolled out dedicated prayer rooms (musala) at 69 stations situated along major corridors and strategic transit hubs across the capital.
To raise the bar in public service
The initiative is aimed at paving the way for Muslim commuters to perform their daily prayers on the go without any hassle, especially during Ramadan.
These facilities are up to par, featuring dedicated ablution areas, prayer mats, and Qibla indicators. This ensures that passengers can find peace of mind and worship solemnly without missing a beat in their daily commute.
Transjakarta Gives Green Light for Iftar on the MovePublic Relations and CSR Head at Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani stated that the station prayer rooms demonstrate the agency’s commitment to being in tune with passengers' spiritual needs, alongside its operational reliability.
She emphasized that this initiative is rooted in a people-centric and customer-oriented service philosophy.
“Ramadan is the perfect time for us to raise the bar in public service by going beyond transportation. We want our passengers to find peace of mind while they are on the move. We hope these facilities allow them to stay productive without missing a beat in their spiritual devotion,” she said, Thursday (2/19).
She reaffirmed that Transjakarta remains committed to keeping operations running like clockwork throughout Ramadan. In the same breath, she urged commuters to play their part in keeping these prayer rooms spick and span to ensure they remain in tip-top shape for the long haul.
